After Yayin’s sharing on Bilingual Education, there are a couple of good issues for further exploration and survey detailed as below:
1. Which language do you decide to use when talking to different listeners,
speaking Taiwanese to parents and Mandarin to siblings and classmates, for
example?
2. What if the speaker speaks Taiwanese, for example, on purpose?
1) Having an interview may find out the reason why. Figure out the speaker’s
home language and his basic profile.
2) The speaker feels close to you.
3) Using Taiwanese to associates shows or reveals no respect. Doing the same
to the speaker’s family shows their intimacy.
